Literature essay, first draft

In Cry, the Beloved Country, Paton shows that the breaking of the tribe destroys families like Kumalo's. Absalom goes to Johannesburg and ends up killing a man.

This shows that Johannesburg is a bad place and the city changes people.

In conclusion, the novel is about crime and its effects on people.

Clear thesis! Keep this. Too general. Quote the text and explain why. Link back to the broken tribe.

Questions

Who is Engkhula for?

South African students studying English at school, college or university, including distance-learning students working through modules on their own.

Which modules do you cover?

Tell us your module codes when you sign up. If we can't support a module well, we'll tell you before you pay.

Will you write my assignment for me?

No. We explain, guide and comment so you can do your best work yourself. The work you submit must be your own, and we won't help with anything that breaks your institution's rules.

Will other students see my phone number?

No. Our WhatsApp community uses an announcements group where only our admins can see members' numbers. You can message our team directly with your questions.

Do I need Microsoft Teams for the Q&A sessions?

You can join from the free Teams app on your phone or straight from your browser. If you miss a session, the recording is sent to you afterwards.

How does the semester option work?

You pay once for 5 months and get 5 months of support for the price of 4. It's a good fit if you want help through a full semester, including exams.

Can I change plans or cancel?

Yes. Email hello@engkhula.co.za before your next payment date to move up, move down or cancel. There are no contracts or cancellation fees.
